Gayle surpassed the record of AB de Villers of the most sixes in the World Cup. Gayle till now has struck 40 sixes. He is second to Shahid Afridi who has struck 351 sixes in One Day Internationals and Gayle has 317 sixes.
Gayle became the third West Indian cricketer to 19000 runs in International Cricket. First two are Brian Lara and Shiv Narine Chanderpaul.
