The media veteran Manu Sawhney will be new Chief Executive Officer of International Cricket Council.He will succeed Dave Richardson whose tenure ends in July 2019.David Richards was the first Chief Executive Officer and Clyde Walcott was the first non-British Chief Executive Officer .

Mr.Sawhney a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Institute Of Technology Pilani and an Masters in International Bussiness from Indian Institute Of Foreign Trade.

In a career of 25 years Mr.Sawhney has a rich experience in the field of Media,Entertainment and Consumer Products industry.

CAREER PROFILE- Mr. Manu Sawhney served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Singapore Sports Hub.Was a Managing Director at FOX Sports Asia (S) Private Ltd.He headed ESS’s growth and expansion across multiple platforms in various local markets across Asia.He was Executive Vice President of Programming and Marketing at FOX Sports Asia (S) Private Ltd. Mr. Sawhney served as Executive Vice President of Programming and Marketing at ESPN STAR Sports and was its Senior Vice-President of Programming and Event Management. He served as the Managing Director of ESS’s South Asia business. He worked at ITC Global Holdings for three years. He also worked at Eicher Motors. He had been an Independent Director of Manchester United plc. Mr. Sawhney also served on the Steering Committee of the 28th South East Asian Games and was an advisor to STAR India.
