G.Suvarna Lakshmi was born on March 2, 1979, Secunderabad, Andhra Pradesh.She became the first ever women referee appointed by International Cricket Council. This right hand batter and right arm medium pace bowler represented Andhra and South Zone. She played for the national team in the year 1999, when Indian women cricket team toured England.Lakshmi, earlier had officiated as a match referee in domestic level women cricket in 2008-09. She was match referee for the three women’s One Day Internationals along with three women’s T-20 international’s.

  • KATHY CROSS- The Kiwi stood as an umpire in 69 international matches. Retired in 2018.The first woman to be selected to the International Cricket Council Associate and Affiliate panel of international umpires.The first woman to be the fourth umpire for a match between New Zealand and England in Wellington. She holds the record of the most appearances as an umpire i.e 22 in Women Cricket World Cup.
  • SUE REDFERN- She played for the England women’s team between 1995 and 1999, including the 1997 World Cup. Her first appearance as an umpire was in 2016 ICC World Cricket League Division Five match between Oman and Nigeria. In 2017 she was among four stand up umpires for ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup qualifier. In 2017 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup she became the first women who has played the cricket world cup and later became umpire for the tournament. She was named among twelve on field umpires for 2018 ICC Women’s World T-20. In 2019 she was among the ICC Development Panel Of Umpires.
  • JACQUELINE WILLIAMS- The Jamaican, in 2016 she stood in the domestic 50-over competition in the West Indies and was the first woman to do so . She was the third umpire in 2016 ICC World Cricket League Division Five match between Oman and Nigeria. Her name was among the twelve on field umpires for 2018 ICC Women’s World T-20. Later she was among the ICC Development Panel Of Umpires.
  • KIM COTTON- This kiwi stood as umpire in the 2018-19 ICC World T-20 East Asia Pacific Qualifier. Later she was among the ICC Development Panel Of Umpires.
  • CLAIRE POLOSAK- A school teacher by profession .This Kangroo was an umpire in one Women T-20 internationals.In 2017 she was among four umpires for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup qualifier. She became first Australian Woman on field Umpire in a match between New South Wales and Cricket Australia. She also became the first woman on field umpire in a warm up match between England and Australia XI. In 2018 she was among the twelve on field umpires for 2018 ICC Women’s World T-20.In 2019 she was among eight umpires on field umpires for ICC World Cricket League Division Two .She is the first female umpire to make a on field appearance in a final of Men’s One Day International. Later ICC named her among the ICC Development Panel Of Umpires.
  • ELOISE SHERIDA- This Australian became the first female umpire appointed to the South Australian State Umpire Panel. She was appointed to both the Cricket Australia U-18 and U-15 Female National Championships in 2017-18. She became the first Australian woman umpire to be appointed as umpire in the final’s of the South Australian Cricket Association’s, men’s T20 final at Adelaide Oval. Now she is member of the the ICC Development Panel Of Umpires.
  • LAUREN AGENBAG– She is the first South African woman and the youngest umpire in an international fixture. She became the first South African women to be umpire a T20I match between South Africa and Sri-Lanka. In 2019, she was the on field umpire in the final of ICC Women’s Qualifier. ICC named her among named her among the ICC Development Panel Of Umpires.
  • MARY WALDRON- This Irish has been associated with Football, Cricket and Hockey too. She was a wicket keeper in her national cricket team. She is the first women in 38 years to stand as an umpire in a men’s Grade Cricket Match, Australia. first Irish women to be a umpire in a men’s A-List match. now she is one of the members of the ICC Development Panel of Umpires.
  • SHIVANI MISHRA- An umpire and a referee working for QATAR CRICKET ASSOCIATION.She became the first Asian women to be named for the ICC Development Panel of Umpires.
