 Aziz Ismail Ansari   was born on February 23, 1983 in Columbia, South Carolina, to a Tamil Muslim family. He is an American actor, writer, producer, director, and comedian. He began his career as stand-up comedian in New York City. In 2007, he created and acted a comedy show Human Giant, on MTV. This got him a breakthrough through in films and he bagged roles in feature films, Like Funny People; I Love You, Man; Observe and Report; and 30 Minutes or Less.

In January 2010, he released his debut comedy special as a stand-up comedian, Intimate Moments for a Sensual Evening. In 2010 and 2011, he performed his Dangerously Delicious tour, which was self-released for download on his website in March 2012 and debuted on Comedy Central in May 2012.He completed his third major tour, Buried Alive, in the summer of 2013. His fourth comedy special, Live at Madison Square Garden, was released on Netflix in 2015. His first book, Modern Romance: An Investigation, was released in June 2015. He was included in the Time 100 list of most influential people in 2016.

He is known for his role as Tom Haverford in Parks and Recreation series that aired on NBC in 2009–2015. A series Master of None in 2015 was aired on NETFLIX which was created and stared by him. Which won him several acting and writing awards including two Emmys and a Golden Globe Television Series Musical or Comedy. With his Golden Globe win, Ansari became the first Indian American and Asian American actor to win a GOLDEN GLOBE AWARD.
