WORLD AIR QUALITY REPORT-DELHI-NCR MOST POLLUTED.
Recently an air quality survey was conducted in 3000 cities and 73 countries by IQ Air Group,a manufacturer of air monitoring sensors as well as air purifiers and an environmentalist group Greenpeace.The report reveals that 64% of the cities have exceeded the annual exposure of Particulate Matter i.e PM 2.5 as suggested by WORLD HEALTH ORGANISATION in South Asia ,nearly 99%of the cities have exceeded WHO’s safe standard exposure 10%µg/m3 .According to survey India ranked third as most polluted country.Our capital ranked one in the list of most polluted capital city and out of top twenty most polluted cities in the world fifteen are in India and Gurugram tops the list.In South East Asia JAKARTA and HANOI are the most polluted cities.On the contrary Iceland top the position of most cleaned country and the New Zealand’s capital Wellington was ranked one in the list of most cleaned capital city.
