TEAM AFGANISTAN- THE PATHANS OF CRICKET.

The ICC World Cup 2019 is going to be second World Cup for the Afghans.
Afganistan will now play with the Sri-Lanka.
This is going to be their first match against the mighty Lankan’s and a second match of the tournament.
The star performers of the Afghan team are Rashid Khan, Rahmat Shah and Mohammad Shahzad along with other teammates.

Rahmat Shah has scored most runs for Afghanistan in Test cricket. Rashid Khan is leading wicket taker for Afghanistan in Test, One Day Internationals as well in T-20 cricket. Mohammad Shahzad is leading run scorer in One Day Internationals as well T-20’s till now.
Till now the Pathans have surprised some of the cricketing giants these are West-Indies, Pakistan, Sri-Lanka, Ireland and Bangladesh.

Sri-Lanka batted first and put a total of 201 runs which was later changed 187 runs due to rain. Afghanistan had to chase down it in 41 overs. But they were all out for 157 runs.
Kusal Perera of Sri-Lanka was the leading scorer of the match. He made 78 runs. Najibullah Zadran scored 43 runs for Afghan team but his efforts were not sufficient.
Nuwan Pradeep took 4 wickets for 31 runs and was the Man Of The Match. This is his career best figures.
