GRAHAM REID CHIEF COACH OF INDIAN HOCKEY.
HOCKEY INDIA,has appointed Graham Reid as the Chief Coach of Indian hockey men’s team.His name was confirmed by the SPORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA and HOCKEY INDIA after getting clearance from the Sports Ministry.
Graham Reid was the member of the Australian Squad that won the silver medal at the Barcelona Olympics 1992.He played as Midfielder and Defender for the National Team.
He played 130 internationals and scored 36 goals including two Olympic Games 1988, 1992, one World Cup 1990 and nine Champions Trophies 1984, 85, 86, 87, 88, 89, 90, 91, and 92.
CAREER AS A COACH-
- 2009-Appointed as Assistant Coach of Australian National Team
- 2012-He was the coach of the Australian Team that won its 5th Champions Trophy.
- 2014-Under his guidance along with Paul Gaudoin Australia won Gold in Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
- 2014-Appointed as Chief Coach of Australian National Team.
- 2015-Australia won The World Hockey League.
- 2015-Graham Reid name was inducted in the QUEENSLAND HOCKEY HALL Of FAME.
- 2016-Australia won Champions Trophy.
