,The Indian Sprinter Hima Das’s nickname is Dhing Express. She hails from Kandhulimari village near Dhing, Assam.
She became first Indian athlete to win a gold medal in a track event at IAAF World Under 20 Athletics Championship in 400-meter event July 2019.
Hima Das in 2019 and Neeraj Chopra the javelin thrower in 2016 won the gold medal for India in 2016’s edition of IAAF World Under 20 Athletics Championship.
Previous winners for India at Junior World Championship are Seema Punia (Discus) who won Bronze in 2002 and Navjeet Kaur Dhillion (Discus) bronze in 2014.
